The Reluctant Duchess by Roseanna M.White

Here is the official summary:
Lady Rowena Kinnaird may be the heiress to a Highland earldom, but she has never felt good enough--not for her father, not for the man she thought she'd marry, not for God. But after a shocking attack, she's willing to be forever an outcast if it means escaping Loch Morar.
Brice Myerston, the Duke of Nottingham, has found himself in possession of a rare treasure his enemies are prepared to kill for. While Brice has never been one to shy away from manor-born ladies, the last thing he needs is the distraction of Lady Rowena, who finds herself in a desperate situation. But when Rowena's father tries to trap Brice into marrying his daughter, Brice makes a surprising decision.
Rowena wanted to escape the Highlands, but she's reluctant to marry a notorious flirt. And when she learns that Brice is mixed up in questionable business with a stolen treasure, she fears she's about to end up directly in the path of everything she was trying to avoid.
My thoughts:
This book was super sweet and I really enjoyed it. Rowena is from the Highlands so she has a fun accent ( Dinna means do not). She also says things like Aye and ye. Ms. White really shows you how they lived and really gets you into the highland culture.
This book is also realistic. Rowena and Brice are complete strangers. They only had 1-2 conversations before they were married and they didn't know much about each other. They both acknowledge this fact and don't instantly fall in love but they decide that they need to work together to make their marriage work. This is probably my favorite arranged marriage ever because they both try to figure out how to fall in love. They have their ups and downs like any marriage but they again work together and their solutions are logical and not passion or lust based.
Brice and Rowena are both really good characters and it is easy to get to know them both. The point of view shifts around. It is mostly between Brice and Rowena and occasionally some of the other characters. This is a wonderful CLEAN, Christian, historical romance!
