Edenbrooke By Julianne Donaldson

Image
This book is probably my favorite book. Julianne Donaldson has created a magnificent book about a super sweet young lady and a swoon worthy gentleman.  Here is the official summary: Marianne Daventry will do anything to escape the boredom of Bath and the amorous attentions of an unwanted suitor. So when an invitation arrives from her twin sister, Cecily, to join her at a sprawling country estate, she jumps at the chance. Thinking she'll be able to relax and enjoy her beloved English countryside while her sister snags the handsome heir of Edenbrooke, Marianne finds that even the best laid plans can go awry. From a terrifying run-in with a highwayman to a seemingly harmless flirtation, Marianne finds herself embroiled in an unexpected adventure filled with enough romance and intrigue to keep her mind racing. Will Marianne be able to rein in her traitorous heart, or will a mysterious stranger sweep her off her feet? Fate had something other than a relaxing summer in mi...

Cinderella and the Colonel by KM Shea

Image
I am a huge fan Of Cinderella retellings. I have read A lot of them! My favorite one of all time is Cinderella and the Colonel by KM Shea. She has a series of retold fairy tales(Timeless fairytales) that are all connected. They are all really good but this one is my favorite. I read this book on my kindle probably at least once or twice a month (Seriously!). I love it every time! Cinderella or Duchess Lacreux is a 17 yr old young woman who has just become a duchess because of her father's death. Her kingdom Trieux has also been recently taken over by Erlauf, a country with a large military. She is being flooded by taxes and stretched thin with all of her tasks and things to keep track of so she can keep her home and lands, Averyon Chateau. She sold all of her nice things and lives and looks like a servant. But she is determined to keep her servants and all of her land. Colonel Fredrich, a very important person in the Erlauf army, starts courting her. Cin...

A Worthy Heart by Susan Anne Mason

Image
I posted earlier that I received a free copy for review of  "A Worthy Heart" by Susan Anne Mason from Bethany House Publishing. So here it is the review! First, I know they say to not judge a book by it's cover but how can you not with this book! I am a photographer so when ever there is a picture on a cover I love to look at it closely and see the beauty! This cover clearly shows a young woman who is determined to fight for what she believes in! This book is the second book in the "Courage to Dream" Series. I did not read the first book but I was able to understand everything clearly and Susan Mason explained who all of the characters were. After reading this book I will definitely go back and read the 1st book.  Summary:there is a young woman named Maggie Montgomery who goes to America with her brother Gabe to visit her brother. She is from Ireland and her mother let her visit for the summer to escape her former fiancĂ© Neil. She meets her sister-...
