Official Summary:
Following the revelation of her fiancé’s philandering ways, high-powered New York attorney Shannon Turney's wedding is off . At a time like this, the last thing she can handle is family drama. But when she learns how far her brother’s and sister-in-law’s lives have spiraled out of control, the only thought in her mind is the safety of her young niece and nephew. After Shannon is granted custody, she and the children are eager to run long and far from their problems.
The end of the road is Sugar City, a place as delightful as its name implies. In the tiny town, Shannon gets much more of a change than she bargained for. Welcomed with open arms by the townspeople, including the handsome local veterinarian, Shannon and the children slowly begin to heal. But when their idyllic existence is threatened by the return of the children s mother, Shannon has no choice but to return to the courtroom she left behind. She has one last legal battle to fight, and the outcome may mean losing everything she loves.

My thoughts:
I have heard of Anita Stansfield a lot recently. I had never read one of her books and was trying to decide which one to try first. Then I found this book on Nettgalley. She did a great job with this book!

Shannon is stuck in a life of nothing but work. She doesn't have any friends and is stressed about her job. She literally drops everything, packs up her stuff, and leaves with the kids a day after she learns they are having a hard time. She is a very likeable character and does so much to help the kids. The vet, Phillip, is a strait forward, no nonsense kind of guy. Shannon and Phillip are instantly attracted to each other and decide to not hide any secrets. It seemed kind of strange at first but that is just how they are and it works for them. I liked how they decided to be friends first. They learned to trust each other before it got complicated. The kids are super cute and are so blessed to have met the people in town who help them realize that they are loveable. They learn that happy endings are possible. When their happy ending is threatened they are much stronger than before and face the challenge with their heads up.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a good Christian romance and I will definitely be looking forward to read some of Anita Stansfield's other books! This book is currently available to purchase Buy on Amazon.com!

I received a free copy of this book through Netgalley by Covenant Communications in return for an honest review.

Read your heart out!
