From Bags to Riches by Sandra D Bricker

This book is the 3rd book in the Jessie Stanton series. I have not read the first two books. If you want to read this book I would recommend reading the other books first because they go in chronological order.
Here is the official summary:
Jessie Hart worked so hard to put her Louisiana roots in the rearview mirror and her Adornments boutique on the map. So when renegade “husband” Jack turns up again, the new and improved Jessie catches his attention. As he fights through his residual legal battles, he makes every effort to win her back and marry her for real this time... before Danny gets the chance.
When a celebrity stylist with her own reality show makes Adornments a hot spot, Jessie’s hard work is finally paying off. But amid award shows and photo shoots, Jessie’s beloved grandfather is diagnosed with cancer and she’s nudged back to the Louisiana roots she worked so hard to escape. Now, in her quest to find the success, true love, and faith that has always eluded her, will God really lead her right back home?
My thoughts:
I will be honest and say this was not one of my favorite books. It might be because I did not read the other two books. I enjoyed it but I know I missed out on a lot of good back stories and probably a lot of important turning points flew over my head because I need to read other books. Again I recommend for you to read the other two books first!
All that aside I think it was a brilliant end cap to a series ( I'm pretty sure it was the end, there wasn't a cliffhanger). Jessie has had a rough life and it does not get any easier for her in this book. But she learns to cope with it and becomes stronger. She has an amazing supporting group of friends who drop everything and come when she needs them. This book shows what true love is. The man who wins her heart is such a good man. He does so much to help her and make her see the good in the bad. It also had a little bit of information about what it is like to live in Louisiana. I like reading about different ways of life and this book was not completely immersed in Louisiana culture but it had a couple of nice glimpses.
One of my favorite things about this book was every couple of chapters there was a passage in italics. This was the grandpa's thoughts/prayers about life, faith and Jessie. I thought it was really sweet and you understand Jessie and her Grandpa more.
This book was a good, CLEAN, Christian romance. This book does not officially come out until March 1, 2016. I will read this again once I read the first two books. If you want to buy this book (after you get the first two) click here Buy on Amazon.com!
I got a free copy of this book through Netgalley by Abingdon Press in return for an honest review.
Don't stop reading!
