Edenbrooke By Julianne Donaldson

This book is probably my favorite book. Julianne Donaldson has created a magnificent book about a super sweet young lady and a swoon worthy gentleman.
Here is the official summary:
Marianne Daventry will do anything to escape the boredom of Bath and the amorous attentions of an unwanted suitor. So when an invitation arrives from her twin sister, Cecily, to join her at a sprawling country estate, she jumps at the chance. Thinking she'll be able to relax and enjoy her beloved English countryside while her sister snags the handsome heir of Edenbrooke, Marianne finds that even the best laid plans can go awry.
From a terrifying run-in with a highwayman to a seemingly harmless flirtation, Marianne finds herself embroiled in an unexpected adventure filled with enough romance and intrigue to keep her mind racing. Will Marianne be able to rein in her traitorous heart, or will a mysterious stranger sweep her off her feet? Fate had something other than a relaxing summer in mind when it sent Marianne to Edenbrooke.
My Thoughts:
Marianne feels inadequate because her father leaves her with her grandmother, who is not a very motherly lady, and then her grandmother sends her to Edenbrooke. To add on to the pile, her mother recently died and her sister is off in London having fun a parties and balls. Phillip ( the mysterious stranger) and Marianne are such a cute couple! They meet in unfortunate circumstances that leaves both with bad first impressions. But once the situation on both sides in understood, they have a strong bond. Phillip knows when to be a flirt and knows when to be serious. I think he is like Mr.Darcy from pride and predjudice except his arrogant side does not last very long and is quickly turned into the kind and thoughtful side. "Heir to Edenbrooke" is a novella about Phillip's point of view and is a very fun read as well. Buy on Amazon.com
I have read  this book with my 11 year old sister and she loves it too!
